Ideas for beer and food suppers

Was hoping to put a beer dinner together over the next month or two. Any suggestions for themes. I have participated in a few dinners with a Belgian theme, another one with an Asian theme (someone made green tea ice cream and another person Moo Shu Duck), and some general ones --- more like a potluck - Each person brought a beer and food pair to try, ie' dessert, appetizer, main dish. etc. I've also done dinners where everyone made the meal together. The idea of the supper club is to keep this informal. Anyone want to host??? We can do it at our house if the group is small (i.e. 8 or less). Kids are welcome as we have a 5 year old that will definitely be present. Any days that work well? Weekends?

I have a real small place so I can't host. But you guys come up with a theme and I'll begladto cook up something. I love to fire up the ol smoker

I like the potluck idea where everyone brings a dish and a matching beer. I would be happy to host as I have a barn....in Lloyd Harbor/Huntington and lots of room on an informal basis. I can do some weekdays, though weekends will be tough because my beer business is chaotic on weekends. Knowing in advance can clear the way for the date to happen for me.
