Rosa's Pizza. Sanctuary in the Station?

I made a trip into Manhattan recently and was pleased and appreciative of the selection of beer available at Rosa's Pizza in Penn Station. Rosa's Pizza is a busy, kind of grungy establishment located in, what is to me, the gateway of Manhattan. Goose Island Pairing at Kitchen a Bistro.

Yesterday I attended a pairing/tasting at one of my favorite restaurants, Kitchen a Bistro between 25A and Moriches Rd. in St. James. The Kitchen is a wonderful unique place with a casual setting and incredible food at reasonable prices. The selected brewery, Goose Island, was represented by a nice lady employed by Clair Rose Distributors. Goose Island is an excellent brewery out of Chicago. Farewell to the Bishop

The Bishop opened my eyes up to the range present in the Bitter/Extra Special Bitter styles. To me, Oakham's Bishop's Farewell reminded me of a light bodied Pale Ale. The light golden color and citrus hop character were in direct contrast to my preconceived notions, which are based on minimal experiance albeit, about the nature of a English style Bitter/Extra Special Bitter. I am enlightened.
