I totally agree with you where I think BA should have NOTHING to do with any BMC. I also doubt that they would have a hard time selling ad space where they need to ....... shop elsewhere ie BMC.... I gotta try that triple hopped beer one of these ...

I have to thank Phil Ebel for putting this together as we now have some great LI Beer & Malt T-shirts, which were authorized by a group vote at the 2nd LIBME Meeting at The Black Forest in October. Oysters and SPAT

Next on the tour, we sat on the beach in Greenport, NY, passed a good time, and ate oysters fresh off the boat at the Pipes Cove Oysters Farm. I am not a big fan of raw oysters — more of a texture thing, but I’ve tried my share in Louisana. Fried [...]

Variety Is The Spice Of Life! Out Of Towner, The Pumpkin Patch, The Feast Of Fests, And Verticals Are Here!!!

The past "Out of towner" 6 packs and singles have been a great success! So what do you do with success? Try to repeat it of course!
This time I am making more stuff available.
If you are not familiar with the "Out of towner", this is what it is...
I have some friends/customers who travel a bit. When they are at a beer store in another state, they give me a call, and then pick stuff up for me that we can not get here on L.I. It's a little pricey, because I have to pay retail for everything, plus throw something to my "Beer Travelers" as I call them. The 6 packs are $17.99 and the singles are all over the place from $6.99 to $14.99. Not insane, but not cheap either. At the same time, it's not often you have such easy access to this stuff. For me, it's just cool to be able to offer my customers & friends the opportunity to try different stuff.

There are 2 Out of towner 6 packs, and 4 Out of towner singles available now.

Six Pack # 1
Bells Oberon
Terrapin Rye Pale Ale
Founders Double Trouble
Highland Kasmir IPA
Duck Rabbit Porter
Bells Expedition Stout

Six Pack #2
Bells Kalamazoo Stout
Terrapin Rye Squared Imperial Pale Ale
Duck Rabbit Milk Stout
Casco Bay Riptide Red Ale
Bells Two Hearted Ale
Founders Backwoods Bastard

Single Bottles
Brasserie Die Du Ciel Derniere Volonte
Mikeller Single Hop
Terrapin Side Project Roggen Rauchbier
Avery Salvation

I have been selling these for weeks, but I just realized I never put it up on the blog. I just made up my last batch of pumpkins, and will do my last batch of Oktoberfests on Monday.

Continuing my mixed seasonals tradition I again have the "Feast of fests" which is a  6 pack of 6 different Oktoberfests with 3 domestic, and 3 imports.
The "Pumpkin Patch" is a mixed 4 pack of pumpkin beers, all of which include at least 1 premium pumpkin.

Verticals will be put together later this week, keep an eye on the blog for that!

Dogfish in the Bat House

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Below is the Dogfish Head yeast working away in my fermentation room on the batch of Raison D'Etre I brewed on Sunday at The Gate in Brooklyn with Sam Calagione:

DogfishYeast

It was a challenging brew session, but we hit the target Original Gravity. Stay tuned for word on where this might be available.
